We have a few steps to ensure families have a great enrollment process. The first step is to register for your membership. Once your membership application is received, we will follow up with you to walk you through your next steps!
Dancers will need practice half shoes for all team practices. Dancers should also bring (clean) tennis shoes for hip hop. All performance shoes come with costumes (except Fame Company).
Our dress code is: tank top, sports bra or leotard with shorts, leggings or skirt. Hair in a bun for all dancers (unless their hair is too short for a bun, then pony tail is ok). No jewelry (stud earring are ok)
Yes! We have partnered with Watch Me Grow to provide a secure live stream for parents to watch all classes and practices. We do not allow parents in classes (except for Boppin’ Babies and Twinklin’ Toddlers).
We know dancers are ready for Elite Teams when they love dance and they look forward to going to class. They like to dance at home and have probably put on a dance show for you at home! The most important quality Elite dancers have is the love for dance and the drive to work hard. We will do the rest! We pride ourselves on training dancers and we have seen amazing growth in dancers in just one year. If your dancer WANTS to do it, that is the most important indicator they are ready for an Elite Team!
We try really hard to place all dancers who try out on an Elite Team. However, there are instances when a dancer is not quite ready. If your dancer does not make it onto an Elite Team, we encourage them to do twice per week Prep Team. Also, we encourage these dancers to work really hard on their Prep Team, as we are always watching and we take that into consideration for the following year. We also encourage dancers to take private lessons when they are available.
Absolutely not! We have designed our Prep Teams to provide a great opportunity for dancers who are only able to come to practice once per week. We do encourage at home practice to help dancers feel more confident on their team.
It is important for Fame Company dancers to be able to perform by themselves at competitions and performances. If we feel as though a dancer is not ready to perform on their own we will do our best to place them in a duet or trio. Sometimes there is not an option for a duet or trio for a dancer (based on other dancers who audition). We do work very hard to place everyone in at least one Fame Company routine. There are also a limited number of spots available due to practice schedule availability. Depending on the number of dancers who audition, we may not be able to accept all dancers into the company.
